Responsible play

Pick an amount and a length of time before you open a game, and treat both as fixed. Decisions made mid-session are made by a version of you that wants a different outcome.

There is no strategy that changes a chance-based result, and there is no such thing as a game being due.

Playing to recover something lost. Playing longer than intended, repeatedly. Spending money set aside for something else. Hiding how much you play. Feeling worse afterwards rather than better.

Any one of these is worth a pause. Several together is worth talking to someone.
